A water feature falls over several floors.

Mall of Canton
[Guangzhou, China]

Next to Guangzhous most famous shopping 'Beijing Street' this 8 floor 90.000 sq.m. mall is situated as a central hub for the passing pedestrians. Having a long history of trade via the Zhujiang River, this mall stands out as a future icon of a modern trading business!

The pedestrian street reveals layers of the ancient road where horse carriers and people from all province met end exchanged goods. So has the concept as well been developed into different layers zoning each level such as F&B, MRT, retail, cinema etc.

Claus was appointed to lead the team and create concept direction and interior design in this large scale mall while working for Concept I.

The pedestrian 'Beijing Street' reveals direct view to the ancient silk road – layers after layers are build up on top and was indirectly creating the concept for this mall.

The layer concept is build into both bulkhead and escalators.
