UPS = Uninterruptible Power Supply. A external computer power supply that includes a battery to maintain power in the event of a power outage. One unit per computer is often used in offices in Asia where the power grid can be unstable.
UPS stands for Uninterruptible Power Supply and such a device is often used with computers in offices in locations were the current is not stable.
Having the UPS on standby all night long does drag a lot of electricity which is both bad for environment and for the monthly bill. Therefore a poster / postcard campaign with the focus on the English letters UPS as part of longer word, was launched to ask general staff in large office landscape to switch off their UPS when shutting down their computer.
Not only did this 'green team' event made people remember to switch off the UPS, but it also created awareness in general for a green environment.

UPS指不间断电源，是一种含有储能装置，以逆变器为主要组成部分的恒压恒频的不间断电源，主要用于给单台计算机、计算机网络系统或其它电力电子设备提供不间断的电力供应。
UPS整夜待命需耗费大量电力，既不利于环境，每月账单更惨不忍睹。为保护环境，提醒大家共同采取实际行动，为环保事业做出切实的贡献，一个利用海报、明信片宣传节约用电的活动便如火如荼地开始了，在每一张海报及明信片上，UPS作为长单词的其中一部分用大写着重强调了一番,旨在号召办公室员工关电脑时也关闭UPS。
该“绿色环保团队”提倡的运动不仅提醒了大家要关UPS，也唤醒了大家的环保意识，象征着我们对地球家园的关注，以及为可持续发展而采取行动的决心。
